Africa day commemorates the founding of the Organization of African Unity. Leaders from 30 states signed the founding charter of the OAU in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on May 25, 1963. The OAU was disbanded and its successor the African Union (AU) was formed in 2002.
We think every day should be Africa day. We should always celebrate our heritage and strive for the unity and progress of our people. Take some time to reflect and enjoy.
